Building an ecologic house of the future
Our students will travel from the North to the South to make a study about architectural styles and ecological buildings.
In a first phase the students exchange information about typical architectural styles and history of architectural styles, this study will be recorded in a DVD. In a second phase our students will make a glossary so they can communicate with each other; the glossary will contain daily language and eco building words in 5 different languages.
In the next stage of the project the students will make a study about the techniques that exist in each country to build an eco house of the future. Pupils can make a scrapbook with information and exchange with their partner schools. As a final result the students will build a model of our ecological house of the future; the façade has to be typical for each country.
The strength of this project is the combination of language education, technical skills, art and history for students in vocational, technical and general education. So even students in vocational training will have the chance to travel in Europe and learn about different cultures.
